Mahoutsukai PreCure! is the thirteenth series of the PreCure franchise. It aired from February 7th, 2016, to January 29th, 2017, running for 50 episodes.

After a chance meeting, 13-year-old student Mirai Asahina and 13-year-old magician Riko Izayoi become the legendary magicians, Pretty Cure. With their transformation, Mirai's stuffed bear Mofurun is also brought to life, giving both girls the ability to transform and fight. Mirai soon enrolls at Riko's Magic School in the distant Magic World, and the two find themselves caring for an infant fairy, Ha-chan. If that wasn't enough, they also have to fight a variety of villains in their search for the Linkle Stone Emerald, the only thing that can prevent a coming catastrophe!

The central themes for this season are magic, gemstones, and friendship.
